Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I recently got released from prison and paroled out to an apartment that my boss rented for my girlfriend and I. Two weeks before I was released!she left, and went back to another state. All my belongings are in this apartment. My boss is listed as the guarantor, she is listed as the tenant. A week later when I came to the apartment the locks were changed. I called the local authorities and told me that unless I have mail or could prove I was staying there; I could not get in to retrieve my belongings. I did stay there for about a week before the lockout. How do I retrieve my belongings?

It appears whoever locked you out likely did so improperly. You would need to file suit to recover your property and likely possession of the apartment, assuming you have paid the rental.
