Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Someone is renting a room from me, in my house. I had reason to suspect she lost her job so I asked her the name of the company she worked for (as I was at work and did not have her paperwork). She told me then asked why. I told her I was going to verify her employment. She then told me she was indeed fired the day before. She has lived in my house from Sept 23rd to now, Nov 04th. She and her boyfriend tld me later that day that I was not allowed to verify her employment. Though I have her application which states she is giving me permission to verify employment and pull a credit report. It is filled out and signed by her. Is it OK for me to verify her employment after she has already moved in?

Yes if your paper work so states. I believe the BF is going to be a problem - you need to have her move as there is no way she will be able to pay you without employment and he is going to rule the day.
