sale of home while leased
tenant signed lease in may 2003 for 1 year with landlord. tenant was told by landlord in june 2003 he is putting the house on the market for sale due to seperation of landlord and his live in girlfriend. Can landlord sell house and not honor one year lease?

Unless the Lease has a provision that it can be terminated w/o cause prior to the one year term the home will be sold with the lease in place. The new owner will have to take subject to the lease and honor its provisions.
