Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

A colleague recently found out my payrate by looking at payroll reports that are not in scope for her job function. She then shared this information with every other team member I work with. Certain members of the team then went to the general manager complaining of the rate of pay. Is there grounds for a suit?

A suit for her passing correct information which she should not have seen? Not really. It is grounds for a notice to your employer to keep those records private.
