Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Earlier today, I was kicked out of a gaming and comics store. I engaged in no disruptive or remotely threatening behavior during my time at the store. I only calmly expressed shock at a price I was expecting to be lower, and criticised an employee who told me to calm down when I was in fact perfectly calm. I want to take them to small claims court, pretty much just to send a message that I won't be pushed around like that, but a friend cautioned that they would just find people who were in the store at that time and get them to lie saying I had been unruly or something. If I could bring the surveillance tape from the time into the case, this wouldn't be an issue...but would they just let me do that? Are there procedures that I could go through or anything else I could do to help my chances of the case looking at the tapes, and if so what are they?

A private business can ask you leave for any reason. You have no claims against them. If you failed to leave, you could have been arrested for trespass. You can write a letter expressing your upset with the store and asking them to maintain all surveillance films before and after your departure from the store. Remember the surveillance will not have sound so your "calm" approach wont be seen.
