Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

i take a life long prophylaxis regimen for herpes encephalitis. while in prision last year i was hospitalized for this condition because the facility would not renew my prescription. I was without my medication for at least 4 month when suddenly i fell ill and had to be hospitalized. upon grieving this issue it was noted that my medical condition had been taking over by the departmeant of health in aug 2012 and that medication was not renewed at neither 8/10/12, 11/5/12, or 3/12/13 appointments. i was admitted on 3/26/13 for this condition which could have been prevented with acyclovir 800mg twice daily which i was denied. It's almost been 1 year since my hospitaliztion and i was released 2 days ago from prison. Do i have a claim for any damages?
