Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

how to handle being sued for automobile accident

I was involved in a car accident; where i was at fault. Apparently I passed out and ran a red light.

I did not have insurance to cover injuries for party in other car; however i had insurance to repair their vehicle and officer at the scence said other pty's seem to be o.k. I got a message on my voice mail fr the other party attorney, wanting to know if i have other insurance, because his client had serious injury. Does this likley mean I will be sued. The only other insurance I have is...HMO--Mortgage Ins---Auto insurance on another vehicle. (And by the way I do not drink)

Re: how to handle being sued for automobile accident

some attorneys will not touch a case with no insurance. They will go after their clients insurance company. The person you hits insurance company then has the option of sueing you to recover what they paid. I would seriously look into protecting your assets if any. Some states take away drivers licenses for no insurance
