Do I have to remain living in Florida until my pending personal injury law suit settles?

No. You can live anywhere and still settle a claim within Florida. Discuss the logistics and problems associated with moving with your attorney. You are needed to be present for depositions, mediations and final hearing, at least.

You do not have to remain in the state, but if a lawsuit is filed, there will be certain points in the lawsuit where you will likely have to come to the location where the lawsuit is filed (e.g., for deposition, defense medical evaluation, mediation and trial).
