Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I want to know which type of lawyer I should be consulting in regard to a lawsuit I want to make. My ex boyfriend gave me mono. He knowingly gave me mono and did not inform me. When I went to the hospital multiple times I was told I had it. I contacted him and he admitted to it. I have a voicemail with him saying he knew he had mono. I want to sue him for giving me the disease, the hospital bills associated with the disease, and I became unemployed due to the disease. I want to know if this is worth suing and which lawyer I should be contacting

You should contact a qualified personal injury attorney in the Tallahassee area. Be aware of the 4-year Florida statute of limitations, i.e., time limit for filing suit.

Certainly a very interesting question. Transmission of a sexually transmitted disease is definitely a tort, but transmission of other diseases seems like a more open question. Otherwise, I agree with the information given by Mr. Burns above.
