Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My dad passed away on Friday. An escrow check came in two names to my attention on Saturday, what should I do with this check? My dad is on one of my bank accounts and the death certificate is pending.

Deposit it, if you can. If not, his estate may need to go to probate.

See if the bank will reissue the check to you alone. If not, you will have no choice but to probate an Estate to have a representative who can endorse the check. How much is the check? That will dictate how you ultimately handle it.
