Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

FL property laws? I have a piece of property in FL with a mortgage in my name, my mom's name is on the deed with mine. My sister told me that my mother put her name on the deed is that possible? The mortgage is in my name only. Also, is there a law against them putting a trailer on that property?

With some limitation, your mom can deed her ownership interest, or portion of her ownership interest, to whomever she wants. It largely depends on the type of ownership interest your mom has. A review of the deeds would be required to fully answer your question.

As for the mobile home, there is no statewide law prohibiting the placement of mobile homes on a person's property. Any prohibition against mobile homes would be done at the local level (City, County), or even an HOA Covenant. I suggest you check with the local ordinances.
