Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Florida Real Estate Law Question - In Florida, a grandmother and grandson are both on the deed of a residential property. The grandmother deeds her half of the property to the son. The son then sells the property on his own and keeps the proceeds. Was the sale of the property legal? What rights does the grandson have? Thank you
