can my home be foreclosed if an elderly person lives in it

yes-if the payments have not been made the lender can foreclose on the property. However,you may have the right to modify the mortgage and potentially the loan documentation was done incorrectly at the time alone was taken out which could give you a bargaining position with the lender. I have done a substantial amount of foreclosure defense work and have been successful in many cases in putting off the foreclosure or reinstating the loan amount on the primary on different rate and terms that you can afford.
