Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I signed a contract to build a home and am still waiting on construction to start and the land plot to be released. I found another home I would like to go with. I would like to know if I am legally entitled to get my deposit money back from the builder.

I reviewed your question and the only way to answer your question with some degree of accuracy is to review the contract you signed with the builder which will indicate the deposit and the date signed and the terms of the agreement. I have been involved in real estate transactions like this for over 30 years and could review the contract. If you want to e-mail it to me to me along with your name and phone number that I could call you to describe what I would charge to review it and give you an opinion on your options at this point. I would strongly suggest that you do this with myself or another attorney now be because in most contracts of this type are is a forfeiture provision of the initial deposit and maybe more. You can email me directly at Robert Romer six@Gmail are call me at 561- 502- 1297 .

Your contract controls. You need to have that contract reviewed.
