I have a tenant who was being evicted for not paying rent, during that time one of their children slipped on city sidewalk, can they sue me even if they where being evicted?

If you are responsible for maintaing the city sidewalk and you failed to do that and that failure caused an injury, anyone who is injured can sue you. There are a great many ifs in that sentence. Are you responsble for maintaining the sidwalk? Was there something that you were to do that you did not do? Did you do something that made it dangerous? Was the child injured due to your negligence? Was the injury significant and permanent? Their status as being evicted does not change the liability law.
