Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I own timeshare in florida from 1991 at time bought with husband divorced and in divorce I got the time share. I never filed a quick claim to change name. Now I want to transfer ownership to a clearing house do I need to have new deed filed or is the decree stating it is mine free and clear good enough to sign off the transfer papers to the clearing house? I have asked the resort but the are giving me a run around.

This answer requires you to discuss and show your paperwork to an attorney. If the decree requires the quit claim deed from your husband, you may still need that.

The time share will want a deed to show your ownership.
