need to know what status i should file, I have a dependent child, i was married in May 2009, my child and I moved into husbands home, seperated from husband oct 30th and my child and I moved out into my own home.

If you are still married, you should file as married filing separately. If you have been living apart for six or more months and you have a child living, you may file as head of household. Tax rules are very complicated and filing separately may cause you to pay more tax. There are also rules regulating the types of deductions you may take based on how your spouse files. If needed, seek competent tax advice.
