Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
My dad resides in Cuba and his uncle that past away years ago had purchased some stocks with a Cuban Electric company here in the USA. My dad just recently found out that he is eligible to have them transferred to him. What kind of attorney will I need to hire? Thank you

Until recently all such assets would have gone into a blocked account. Not sure if that has changed, by you would need a probate attorney familiar with Cuban National Blocked accounts.

IF the stock was purchased in the United States - and it is a US holding company, contact who has or issued the Cuban stock and ask them what they would require to transfer the stock to your dad. It is true the estate may have to be probated.
