Is a living trust to be notarized or legalized?

Not sure what a "living trust" is. If the document is an intervivos trust all formalities similar to a will should be followed.

Are you talking about a living will or a living trust as Barry Stein has pointed out to you? Both should be witnessed and both should be notarized.
