Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I was just notified by the Tampa Medical examiner that my brother died on 09-13-12. I am his only living blood relative. What might it cost me and how do I go about obtaining a probate attorney to assist me with this matter?

Whether probate is required depends on his estate and the legal options

he used to handle his estate. If he had no estate, probate will not likely be

required. Gather information relating to assets, last will, trusts, creditors,

debts, family, and other matters to determine whether you should talk to

an attorney for legal options and advice.

First you need to figure out whether he had any assets for which probate is required. As Mr. Martin states gather all the pertinent papers. Once you get the papers and know that you have assets that require probate, then you can contact an attorney to discuss it. The costs and fee will depend on the assets involved. Sorry for the loss.
