Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

A will states that the mothers house will be sold and the proceeds split between the two siblings. How long do they have to sell the house before the court steps in?

It Won't. It is up to the parties to resolve the issue. If there is dispute. then the court may get involved.

If it is being sold per the will, it is already in Court in Probate and there is no time requirement that can be imposed. Listing it for sale or taking action to make it available can be required by the Court. You cannot force finding a willing buyer upon the Estate.
