ir you are the only adult child and your parent passes with a will and you are not named in it are you intitled to any thing?

is there a surviving spouse now?in my estate planning practice is common to see the rest of the assets distributed upon the death of the survivor. If there is a valid will leaving the assets to a non-family member it could be subject to attack in probate court.
