Legal Question in Workers Comp in Florida

lawyer penalties

When my attorney settled my case, he neglected to tell me the settlement amount. Then a letter came from Work Comp, saying they needed me to come in, because there were some discrepencies in the final paperwork. My attorney altered the documents differently than what WC and my attorney had agreed on. So 2 more months went by, and i get forms in the mail to sign again. Now WC had settled the first time, but my attorney changed everything. So the judge gave me the difference in the amount and blasted the attorney for his actions. So its been almost 2 months and they keep giving me the run around. What should I do, because I thought these people were supposed to have my best interests at heart and I think he' trying take something away from me.

Re: lawyer penalties

I would strongly recommend you report this matter to the Florida Bar Grievance Committee and speak with an attorney who handles legal malpractice matters.
