can you be denied work for the company that you have recently settled a workers comp claim against?

It depends....the workers' compensation law says that no employee can be discharged because the employee made a valid claim for compensation benefits. If the denial of work is a 'discharge' it would be illegal as long as the settlement didn't include a resignation and general release. I would need more information to give you a better answer.
