Legal Question in Disability Law in Georgia

I've been under a doctor's care for a major depression disorder for the last 3 years and was forced to leave my parents home after 16 years, by my adoptive father 2 months after my Mother died, February 7, 2010, without a job on April of this year. I'm unable to cope with others because of my disability and about to be a 57 year old unemployed homeless man. My Sister died November 15, 2010 creating the need for my doctor to double my medication dosage. I'm in a hopeless situation with no plce to turn. Do I have any rights against eviction with my circumstances. Bare in mind, my adoptive father played a major role in my resulting disability.

If your father evicted you in April of this year, there is little you can do about it now to get back in the home regardless of your disability. If your father played a major role in your disability, then living in his home is probably not the best idea anyway. Did your mother own the home, and if so, did she leave any interest in the home (or any other property or money) to you as a part of her will?

At 57 years old, it is time to start looking out for yourself. If you cannot find employment, have you considered applying for Social Security disability benefits, TANF, food stamps, etc?

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
