Legal Question in Disability Law in Georgia

i was injured on the job about 10 months ago, i had shoulder surgry and promblems with my left and neck. i have a lawyer and he told me that an offer was made, but out of the offer i have to repay w/c for what they paid me when i was out. and the lawyer said that the company was going to let me go after the doctors releses me from under their care. and if i did not take the settlement i was not going to get anything. i was not the case of this accident. i am not agreeing to the settlement and want to know can i change lawyers?

Yes, you have the option of changing lawyers. However, you will owe the original lawyer for the work he has performed to date (for instance, taking depositions, filing pleadings, answering discovery, appearing at hearings and pre-trial conferences).
