Legal Question in Construction Law in Georgia

Statue of Limitations on Georgia

I just found out that I am included in a lawsuit for some windows I installed in December of 2003. The house has been vacant and been through forclosure. It was purchased in December of 2007. I now have learned that I will be geting sued. What is the time period for the Statute of limitations for subcontracted work in the state of Georgia, and when does that period start for subcontractors?

Re: Statue of Limitations on Georgia

The statute of limitations period depends on the claims being asserted against you. Different claims have different time periods. And there may be multiple different periods. Have a local attorney review the facts and any pleadings to determine the statute of limitations and any other defenses to the suit.
