Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Is there a case against me?

I am being sued by the owner of a closed business in Valdosta, Ga, who claims I owe her $280 for dance lessons. A contract was signed, however she states that she no longer has a physical copy, but does have an email of it that also required a signature by her and the other owner that was never signed by them. I never stated that I was not going to pay her, and that I needed more time than just four days to come up with a payment since I am currently in college and have to pay for books myself along with other bills. She insists on taking this case to a small claims court and that I also need to pay for the court fees myself along with the $280. She also continues to harass my mother with phone calls and emails, even sending her emails at her workplace which can be a cause for my mother's dismissal from her job. Also, in 2013, I fell at her studio, causing my meniscus to be partially torn on my knee. I was not able to walk for almost three months with this injury, and I never a signed a liability waiver prior to the accident.

"I am being sued" means there is a case against you. We can't decide the outcome based only on your side of the story, and it would not matter anyway. Either settle it or get the opinion of the one person who matters and who hears both sides (and sees emails and docs) -- the Judge.
