Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

ok so i purchased a used truck from a dealership. i put 4,000 down and got financing for the rest. ive had the truck for a week and it has been in the shop twice already. i would like to return the veh. i spoke to the loan company and they are placing a hold on the payment until i give them the go ahead. hear comes the big bang.... my wife and i just got married and her last name has not changed yet. the dealership asked her to sign with my last name. we even tried to correct them at the time of purchase but they said it wasn't a big deal. would the false name void the contract letting me return the truck and get my down payment back? thanks for your help

You own the truck. The last name is irrelevant. Unless you make every payment on time, you will get sued and probably have a repo too, and face garnishment. This was preventable. You never buy a used car without having your own mechanic inspect it before you buy. If you don't, you take a huge risk - that big sticker "As is" means "This could be a lemon - buy at your own risk." Unless you received a warranty, you pay for all the repairs. It was extremely foolish to call the loan company as you did - fix that. (By the way, if your wife said on the application for a marriage license that he name was changing, it HAS already legally changed, so she needs to get her records changed before she gets a ticket for not changing her driver's license within 60 days).
