Attorney Riddle is correct. If a judgment has been entered, then the answer is yes, they can. And the creditor can also garnish your wages if you work for someone or garnish funds owed to you by any third-party if you are self-employed.

What i suggest you do is find out if there are any judgments against you. And you had better look to closing this bank account and opening an online account which will be harder to trace. Ultimately though, you are going to have to figure out some way to resolve this debt, assuming that the debt is validly your debt and there are no grounds to get the judgment opened. Whether you file bankruptcy, settle or work out a payment plan is up to you, but you need to make a copy of the court file and sit down with a lawyer to have the information reviewed and to discuss your options.
