Giving property I have to son

I have a judgement against me. I have two different houses. I want to give one to my son. They said I would have to pay the judgement off before I could give it to him.Can I give the property to him without having to pay the judgment off first?

Assuming the judgment is properly recorded, it is a lien on the property that would come ahead of the deed to your son. Why would you want to burden him with that?
