Labor lien??? What personal property? How was it seized? Was there a court case? Rather than a guessing game of whether someone can do something, how about posting the actual facts (the whole story) and then asking a clear question.

I have to agree with Attorney Riddle. This question makes no real sense. First, there is legal and then there is ... quasi-legal or downright illegal. So what are we dealing with here? Who seized property? There is a process called pre-judgment attachment which allows seizure of property in some cases.

But you mention a labor lien and the seizure of personal property. I am trying to wrap my head around this because it does not make sense. It sounds like you owed somebody money and they just took stuff with no court order. Was this legal? Not exactly but we have all kinds of laws prohibiting all kinds of stuff and people do the taboo things anyway.

Regardless, you will need to see an attorney if you hope to get your property back.
