Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I have received a summons from the Sheriffs Dept. from a creditor regarding a vehicle charge off. I am unable to pay the amount and was wondering if there are any other options besides bankruptcy?

You have a legal emergency. 30 days from now you will be in default absent action on your part. Your creditor will likely garnishee your wages, attach your bank accounts and obtain a lien on your home. Assuming you owe money, and it sounds like you do, you have two options - reach a settlement with the creditor or bankruptcy. You have a very short window and need a lawyer right away.
