Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I rented a item back in 2007 I was evicted out of my residence and wasn't able to return the item I called 3 times to tell them where the item was I've heard nothing from them I was pulled over in a car in 2010 when they ran my license it was clean no warrants it's now 2016 do I have anything to worry about

Don't know what you are asking. You did not steal the item, you rented it. You have an obligation to pay for it. Its not a crime so running your license for outstanding warrants is meaningless as far as this is concerned. If they did not sue you, the statute in Georgia is 6 years for most contracts. if more than 6 years have lapsed since you defaulted and if you have not been sued, my gut instinct would be that you do not have anything to worry about. However, I have not seen any of the documents.

Question - why are you posting about this now? If you have not been bothered in all these years, then why are you posting? I don't need an answer. However, something prompted you. I thus suggest that you see a local lawyer and pay him/her to review the paperwork and confirm that you need not be concerned.
