Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I am a 34 yr old stay at home mom, part time college student (5 credits from earning an associate degree in business management), an active member & weekly volunteer at my church. I have never been in trouble before this year, but I've made a couple of stupid decisions recently & in quick succession. In May I was arrested for & convicted of misdemeanor shoplifting & sentenced to 12 months probation + fines (I didn't have legal counsel & was unaware that I could have asked to participate in a diversion program). In Aug, I was arrested for the same thing. I am now facing a probation revocation hearing & new charge on Oct 5. What, if any, options or defense do I have?

The harsh reality is that if you choose to not hire a good criminal lawyer and ask for guesses on the internet about what defenses you you (with absolutely no facts), you can expect the worst. If it does not matter to you, at least think of your child and start calling good criminal lawyers today.
