Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

child molester across the street

We live across the street from a convicted child molester in a rental home. Can we be sued for letting the owners know that he lives there.I know that this is public record. Can I be charged with harrassment if he finds out who sent the letter.Would we be better off having an attorney send this letter rather than us. I don't want to bring a lawsuit upon myself. He was convicted of exposing himself and masturbation in front of three children. He served 2 years in jail because he refused to go get help. Thanks for your help

Re: child molester across the street

As long as you are providing accurate public knowledge, you should be fine.
