My father and I were served with papers to appear in court on charges of trespassing and battery, how do go through the process of discovery ?

Show up at arraignment, state on the record you want to "opt in" to discovery and request 10 days to file you request. Then go to the clerk's office and file your discovery, then serve a copy on the Solicitor's office.
