Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Ga law: Charged with felony murder and possession of meth with intent to distribute. A friend of mine is charged this way after she and 3 of her other friends purchased meth and all 4 used some. One of the friends left and was later found dead of a drug overdose. They cooperated with investigators to the point of submitting a blood sample for testing to find out what kind of drug they used and all told who had sold them the drugs. The drug dealer hasn't been charged for this but the 3 friends who used the drugs with him have. Is this how the law works? Is a blood sample enough to charge someone with possession with intent to distribute? Any enlightenment is VERY much appreciated. Thank you!

Your friend is facing life in prison, needed a lawyer yesterday, and is a fool if she talked to police without a lawyer.
