Do you have to hire a lawyer to attend court with you in order to be considered for the pretrial intervention program if a person is charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol under the age of 21?

While you don't have to, it would be a horrific mistake not to. Your odds of being considered and approved grow a great deal without a lawyer, and if you say the wrong thing, you end up at trial. Do not even think of not hiring counsel.
