Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
i was hit by my ex husband and i went to the hospital. I did not call the cops but i guess they did. I dont want to press charges. Can they make me or the state pick it up?

It would be foolish and life-threatening for you to let an abuser know you didn't want him prosecuted. Rethink that. The DA can prosecute no matter what you say. They decide.
