Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

My name was given in an incident report as a suspect. Should I call in and speak to the detective over the phone or not? Am I at risk at having a warrant issued for my arrest. This is pertaining to a vehicle that was placed by a broker and the registered owner is making the broker responsible for locating their vehicle which the placed client is no longer paying for.

I have no idea what this can be about, even though you offered some cryptic explanation. You are at risk of having a warrant issued for your arrest. IF you are a suspect, the detective will contact you. IF you choose to speak to the detective, you should know that what you saw may be used against you AFTER you are arrested. Either the detective has enough to arrest you or not. IF yes, then remain silent and get your bond money together. IF no, then that is the end of it. You probably are not going to talk your way out of a warrant, but may very likely talk yourself into a warrant.

Lawrence is absolutely correct

I would add that you may wind up talking yourself into PRISON.
