Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

On Monday 8-13-12 my mother call the law on my stepfather for choking her. My stepfather had left. So my mother had told the officer what had happen. after the police offer left my stepfather had call my mother that he was going to call the cops on her. She got scared and didn't know what to do. She is on probation. So he's friend told her to lie and say he didn't hit her. The friend told my mother this will save her relationship and everything will be back to normal. She believe him and did what the friend and the friend's wife told her to do. When she told the offer she lied he told her that he will arrest her and my stepfather. So what I did is got the friend and his wife recorded saying that they did tell her to do that and I have the wife text message saying how to do it. Also I have my stepfather's mother leaving a voice message saying that if he was going to jail she was going as well. So after all this happen we went to another police officer and told him the truth. Told him that we have evidence. He told us he couldn't do anything we would have to talk to the other officer. We tried to call him but no answer. And today she was arrest and wont be release because of probation violation. I've have tried to talk to everyone and there is nothing I can do.

That's right there is nothing that you can do. When the first drama kicked off, an attorney should have been retained, rather than a bunch of clueless folks guessing at what should occur.
