Legal Question in DUI Law in Georgia

I received my first and only DUI in Georgia two years ago and have not completed the mandatory DUI school to obtain my drivers license. Since receiving this DUI I have moved to Florida. Will taking the course in Florida suffice the DDS in Georgia so I can have my license reinstated or do I have to take the course in Georgia?

If you are convicted of a DUI in Georgia, you will have to complete a Department of Drivers Services (DDS) approved DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Program. You will also have to complete a Clinical Evaluation and, at times, complete a Substance Abuse Treatment Program.

Georgia will not accept certificates of completion from out of state programs if it is not approved by the Department of Drivers Services as being in substantial conformity with the course content used by Georgia's DUI Alcohol or Drug Use Risk Reduction Programs.

You need to ensure that the course you've taken or intend to take conforms with Georgia's standards.
