Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Georgia

I told an agent via email, that I would read, and sign a representation contract with them. Upon reading the contract, I didn't agree with some of the terms, and after being threatened and pressured, I changed my mind and decided not to sign the contract. Am I legally obligated to sign the deal being that I said I would.

I would imagine there's a great deal of facts left out of this scenario. I would want to read that email and the contract before I could give you a definitive answer. I would also want to know what, if any compensation they had given you up to that point and what the basis of the threats were. Resubmit your question with additional facts and you may receive a more specific answer.

In general, you are not legally obligated to sign any Agent Representation Agreement against your will, particular under the threat or other coercion.

Feel free to contact my Atlanta office for a free phone consultation to discuss the details of your Agent Representation Agreement.
