Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

The amount of child support I agreed to 3 years ago is more than required by law. Can I legally change this amount now? My ex and I live in Georgia.

Many people pay more than required by law if that is what it takes to care for their child or for other reasons. You agreed to it, and presumably it is in a Court order. if you want to change it, you can go back to Court. The Judge won't likely consider a request for the reason you provided.

Many people agree to support that is higher or lower than guidelines and that alone is unlikely to be a reason for modification. However, a downward change in your income, a change in the child's expenses, or an upward change in the other parent's income may be reasons. If those exist, see a lawyer.
