Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child Visitation Enforcement

I was divorced in Lowndes County, Georgia. I had visitation with my child until March 1998. I have not seen or heard from him, but I have recently obtained an address of the mother. The decree has a visitatiion schedule that is not possible to live by, however, I am not receiving any visitation at all nor am I allowed to speak with my child. I need to know how to enforce it, without costing me, but the custodial parent.

Re: Child Visitation Enforcement

You need to sit down with an attorney. If you are indigent, you might can get an attorney without it costing you anything. If you can convince the judge that your ex-spouse had no valid reason for violating the courts orders, then you might be able to get the judge to order reimbursement for all or part of the attorney fees. You need to speak with an attorney.
