Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Where do i file for divorce and how?

I moved to georgia 1 yr ago and now have the money to file for divorce. My wife still lives in hamilton county ohio, where I am from and where we were married. Where do I file and would I have to go up there for court or would she have to come down here? I also wanted to keep my info from her like my address and phone number and wanted to know if that was possible. There are no kids involved and I'm not sure if she is even going to contest it but I would like to know what I am looking forward to.

Thank you for your help!

A divorce could be very inexpensive if you deal with this differently. It can be filed in Georgia. Whether that is the best option depends on details you did not post. If you change your approach and discuss things with her, and can get her to sign, you may have a case that is extremely quick and inexpensive and in some counties involves no court appearance at all. If you take the approach of being aloof, she will learn your address, as that will be shared in a contested divorce, which would be very expensive (our average contested retainer is about 5 times the size of our total uncontested fee).
