Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I filed for contempt myself without an attorney. What happens if the respondent does not respond within her 30 day limit? What do I do?

I don't mean to sound flippant but if you filed a court case without having a clue as to what happens if there is (or is not) a response, you were woefuly unprepared and likely would be best served by not doing anything at all and hiring a lawyer. You are in way over your head.

Even lawyers when they have legal matters have lawyers, and it is rare that a layperson fares well in court. It is inconceivable that a layperson who has not even looked into the basic steps of a case before filing could get it right, and there is a possibility that you could have things go very badly.

Get a lawyer. You need one.

Glen is absolutely right - I would, however, add:

Why did you file contempt action without knowing what to do if ex-spouse did not respond? That's totally insane!!!

Hire an attorney in Locust Grove area ASAP !!!
