Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My Geotgia divorce case is almost to the finish line as my husband and I both agree on a settlement. My question is, can I fire my attorney at this time and go at it alone. I am the plaintiff and don't know why I need his services any longer, it has been a contentious relationship. Will I need to appear before the judge? Can my husband's attorney handle the paperwork from here? What are my obligations to my retained attorney? If all that's needed are papers to be signed and filed, do I really NEED him?

What you want to do reminds me of what my Grandfather alway would tell us "penny wise and pound foolish"

Going to court without an attorney is like driving a car without a steering wheel and no brakes!!!
