Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live in Georgia. My ex committed suicide with 9 months left on alimony payments. He did have a life insurance policy but it didn't pay because he had it through his employer and recently started a new job and didn't have the policy long enough for it to pay. In your opinion, would a lawsuit against the estate be successful?

It depends on what the agreement or order said. Most settlement agreements state it ceases at the time of death. I suggest you take the agreement/order to an attorney and have it reviewed prior to filing against the estate.
